You can use any third party USB-C to HDMI adapter, which should give you the same result. Don’t forget that you are getting 4K resolutions at 60 fps with the Samsung S8, even when you mirror to your TV which should be a 4K TV, in this case for a 4K resolution.

The drawback here is that you are limited to 1080p resolutions and 30 fps against 4k and 60 fps you will get for wired connection. If this doesn’t bother you, then simply follow the steps to get started immediately.
For users whose smart TV do not support Miracast or Samsung Bluetooth Low, you have to get one of the following devices.
1. Amazon Fire TV Box
2. Miracast Video Adapter (recommended)
Once you have any of the accessories listed above, you are just a few steps away from screen mirroring on Samsung Galaxy S8.
Here you go.. Connect your purchased accessory to your smartphone, and then put on your TV. Now, you will need to register your Samsung Galaxy S8 by swiping down the notification area on your phone, then select “Quick Connect” >> “Register TV.” that's if you are connecting with TV.
This should give you the freedom to quickly connect Samsung Galaxy S8 to TV and screen mirror effortlessly.
For any reason, it shouldn't give any problem, if you are unable to carry out this method. You should consider any of the other methods above or below.
4. Samsung Dex Dock
The Dex dock is a crazy attempt by Samsung to turn your Galaxy S8 to a PC. The dock is able to function as a phone stand and charger equipped to give you freedom to connect accessories like keyboards, mouse, monitors and some other basic stuff. If it can connect to monitors, the Samsung Dex Dock will connect to your TV.
5. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Option
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a smart way to screen mirror on Samsung Galaxy S8, only if your TV supports the feature, then you will surely enjoy it on TV as well.
Now to connect, I will be sure and assume that you have the Samsung Bluetooth Low Energy feature on your TV, if YES, you are good to go.
1. Swipe down notification area on Samsung Galaxy S8.
2. Tap “Quick Connect”.

This method will only work for users who have Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on their TV. If you do not have the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) feature, then you shouldn't spend too much time here.
Let’s move over to the next connection method. For us, it is the last resort. You should only use the next option if you are unable to use any of the methods already discussed. It is our last resort and we are not a fan of it, because it is limited in usage.
6. Chromecast
This is the last method, so if any of the above doesn't help, this should help. Purely because “only” a limited amount of apps can be used with Chromecast.
But you may find this too technical, I will suggest you then choose any of the available options above.
